16 month old male German Shepherd in Beacon, Iowa

Very affectionate, active, playful, black and tan German Shepherd. We have had him since he was two months old. My husband and son drove 4 hours each way to pick him up. He loves to play, is very good at catching frisbees in the air, and chasing and retrieving tennis balls. He juggles the tennis balls by himself, where he will throw it up in the air and catch it in his mouth over and over. He also loves to chase and play with his tail. Like I said, he is a very playful dog. My son has moved to NYC and can't keep him, and we can't give the attention he deserves. We would like to place him with a loving, caring family with children 5 yrs old and up, and with ample backyard/property for him to run. He loves to run. He is an inside dog, house trained. He does not get on sofas, couches (our last German Shepherd did, and we couldn't break the habit). Included would be his crate (we call 'his house') which is left open all the time. He goes there to rest. We also have leashes, collar, brushes, and feeding bowls, which you may or may not take, your decision.
He is up to date on vaccination and has been neutered.
